It was quite nice moored up at Hatton; we had made some trips to the Hatton Country World. This used to be a nice craft centre with lots to see and buy but unfortunately it has now become nothing more than an expensive shopping centre.
We had many visitors whilst moored here, very nice too. However, the site was in a cutting with high trees on both sides and a very limited view, poor light and no TV so time to move on.
After only 1 ½ hours travel we arrived at a very welcoming looking Pub called Tom of the Wood. This will do us nicely for the next day or so. It was not far enough to fully recharge the batteries but it is rude to pass a country Pub and I have never been one to be rude.
I think that we have now made the decision to go down the Stratford canal then onto the River Avon and the Along the Severn. This is of course only a tentative plan and is very flexible and liable to change without notice.
